somnia
A downloadable game for Windows

what is somnia?
Somnia is an game developed by Alex Austin, better known as Cryptic Sea, he is actually very well known for creating the physics based fps called Sub Rosa, this project of his was being made in 2009, but for unknown reasons he just abandoned the game, it seems that someone called Aimee Seaver also worked on the game, in the official site credited as game artist in the contact option. (Now checking more information about the person, it seems that Aimee made art for the game such as that character on the first screenshot)
about the game
This game is a really weird and obscure game made by Austin and its art by Aimee, its an puzzle game in which you are in a really strange world with some level design that makes me feel extremly unsafe, and the gameplay is a bit simple, you have the 3d world which you can jump from the platforms, and you have the shadows, you are normally always on the 3d normal world, but with the click of the mouse, you are in the 2d world, which the platforms are the shadows of the 3d platforms, in which does not appear in the 2d world only its shadows, and in each level you have to pick up these blue lantern things and exit through that weird portal.
The design of this game is really weird, it seems like an alien type of world with some weird stuff, the portals looking like it came from half-life and this weird skybox on both 3d and 2d worlds being really random.
